November 27, 2008:
Happy Thanksgiving! I'm thankful for not sleeping! Ok, not really, I just have a really wacked out sleeping pattern. Well I just went to this website and realized that my last post was when I did that huge overhauled to the website several months ago. Work-wise, I haven't gotten all that much new stuff; I've been taking a break from doing artwork just to clear my head and focus on other things such as writing, which has really really helped me work through a lot of personal issues I've been facing lately. Plus I've been reading a lot of stuff that's also helping me understand things and helping me cope. Ha, I sound like a total basket case but speaking from my own perspective, I have been a basket case lately but I'm trying though.

Well enough whining. The break has helped me rekindle my passion for creation and I've been itching to work on some new projects and I'm hoping to have a slew of new stuff for the portfolio coming early/mid '09. I'm really close to getting my new computer so that's going to help me manage to push out several new motion projects--especially in the area of music videos. I've got several videos planned out for music by Longwave, The Automatic Automatic and The Helio Sequence; the videos for Longwave and The Helio Sequence are intricately planned out in my head and are going to go into production very soon but I'm still on the fence with The Automatic Automatic as I'll need footage of the actual band to get the idea I want to push through realized. I've also got more Myspaces (that I let pile up) to finalize and a website for TORA! clothing. TORA!'s website is currently in the prototype phase but I'm working on it and hopefully I'll have something more concrete to present in the coming months.

I'm also toying around and experimenting with illustration techniques to try to break out of my traditional style by sketching out really weird characters and embracing elements of political cartooning. I've felt like these months off have really helped me recollect my thoughts and I'm going to try to finish up all these new projects and introduce those projects in a new jasonthomasdesign.com layout that I feel will more accurately portray the new direction I'm hoping to take my art in. So just wait around, I've got a lot of new things I'm trying out.

So this site is finally finished. I don't really have that much to say other than I am extremely tired from working on this and my other finals while juggling working for that god awfule corporation also known as Target! I'm probably going to quit soon because it's hell working there. Anyway, this is just random text to fill up this freakin' area, I'm sure you don't even care about what's here; I barely do. This is supposed to have newer work that's being produced but I don't wanna put it up because I'm lazy. sooooo Good night world!
